Obesity in Europe
Obesity in Europe has been quite significant. Recent research has shown that between the 1970s and the 2000s, the level of obesity has dramatically increased. During the last decade of the 20th century, the 27 countries in the European Union reported obesity rates from 10 to 27 percent for males and 10 to 38 percent for females. In the United Kingdom, the rate of obesity also increased by four times over the last 25 years. The current rate of obesity in the United Kingdom is reported to be over 22 percent.
Overall, obesity is a major issue in the world and continues to grow its level of significance. Together, we must learn to change our ways of living and combat such deadly enemy.
